The incomes of all but the upper 20% of Americans haven't kept up with inflation for the last 30 years. Hard to maintain a standard of living that way._http://www.electricprint.com/edu4/classe

I don't really give the hole from a doughnut what you think about America. Spew your trash elsewhere to someone who will appreciate it.

This is probably reported by the same pollsters who claim that Obama is thrashing all Republican challengers by a wide margin. Ignore it.

hm if this is true, I wonder why they don't have nearly as many foreigners trying to immigrate. Amazing isn't it. Maybe this should cause you to question the information. But I doubt it will.

The United Nations is traditionally anti-American and they tend to skew data to make the U.S. look bad just like they do with the World Health organizations rankings of health care systems. The data is skewed to not favor the U.S.

What category?Living space? Amenities? Access to facilities and services? Disposable income? No. No. No. No.If we were to annex Canada it would be our most impoverished State.

Depends on your definition of "better".I'm doing quite well, thank you. That said, I used to have some inexplicable urge to move to Melbourne. And, for the record, Wellington is in New Zealand and, after a few months ago, probably not the best place to live right now. And, as someone else has already pointed out, the UN loves whizzing on the US any chance it can get. Especially in obtuse, subjective rankings such as this one.

The highest ranked US cities are Honolulu, Boston, and San Francisco for all around quality of life/incomes. I don't know where you got Pittsburgh. But it is not secret that Australia is an amazing country with an economy that has not had a recession in decades, and it shows no signs of slowing down growth. I have to admit I don't know much about Canada.

That's funny because Toronto is one of the most dangerous cities in the world to live in. Boy you Canadians love to lie all the time. Also I don't see how paying over 1 million for a house in Aus is considered high quality of living. Or half a mill in Ontario or Quebec for a house? I can live a much "nicer" lifestyle in Texas for far less than it costs to live in Canada or Australia.

Health care reduces personal anxiety, allows freedom to change jobs, retire, quit, go back to school, get sick, get well again, get married, get divorced without losing anything.Huge immigrant population has contacts in every country in the world, so trade is good for CanadaTiny Military who was known for "Peace Keeping" until Harper go into bed with BushLow personal tax rate, lower than USA if you include insurance expenses(yours and what your company pays)Almost no handguns and NO open carry anywhere. Crime so low that it has been dropping for 19 years.175,000 Americans have fled to Canada since 2002 for a better life for themselves and their families.Good manners, polite and clean cities (not much to brag about, but it sure works for us)

Lmao at some of the standard replies from uninformed Americans. Toronto ranks as one of the safest large cities in the world. Canada impoverished? lmfao The ignorance is astounding. Canada doesn't have the huge differences between classes as seen in the US. Canada isn't trillions of dollars in debt, we didn't have the mortgage crisis seen in the US because the banks are regulated and not controlled by corporate greed. Our economy is strong and didn't suffer like it did in the US, because we are not in fear of government involvement or cry that our constitutional rights are being undermined. The US has become one large reality show.
