I really don't see that happening next year, maybe 2 or 3 seasons. I didn't like Samuelsson as a player and I don't see him being a good coach, but thats just an opinion. They also need better goaltending than Houle and Munroe if they even want to think about it.

They have mortgaged their youth to across the street at the Wachovia Center. I agree that Samuelsson is not coaching material. They should have made a better move in getting a coach that understands minor leaguers better. Someone that has played minor league hockey and has been in the NHL for a short time. Look at Scott Arniel and the work he has done in Winnipeg with the Moose as an example. No good goaltending, weak defense and a few goal scorers. The fortune thing is that the Flyers were bad this year and have some picks coming from trades made this past year. Finally, W-B Scranton, Hershey and Binghamton has become stronger in the division and Norfolk brings on Tampa Bay youth next season and is out of the dreaded Northeast Division. Look for the Phantoms in 3 years to be back to the Calder Cup playoffs.
